The patented D/A MULTIMATIC Service, Block and
Zeroing manifold offers a high degree of sophistication
for those processes which require frequent zero check, instrument
isolation, field recalibration or process line blowdown. Rather than
manipulating a cluster of independent needle valves, the MULTIMATIC
utilizes two 3-way valves working together to provide all the
functions of a bulky 7-valve system. Since all the porting and
sequencing is properly interlocked, the service technician easily and
positively selects the desired function by switching the two handles to
the permanently marked positions.
This unique "dial-a-function" method drastically reduces the
costly errors of improper operation and confusion inherent in
multi-handled manifolding systems.
The D/A MULTIMATIC - The Ultimate in Convenience,
Serviceability and Economy in Flow Transmitter Manifolding.

Operation
|
|
With valve handle in the
NORMAL position, the ZM6 is in the
service mode with both process inlets open and the equalizing
port blocked.
By dialing the Zeroing Valve handle to the ZERO
position, the ZM6 is automatically switched to the
zeroing mode which completely and properly prepares
the transmitter for zeroing by (1)First blocking one inlet impulse line
and (2)then operating the equalizing port which bypasses the blocked
inlet to equalize the P cell at the process pressure. Because it
basically operates like a 3-way valve, this forced zeroing sequence
provides fool-proof operation and safety.
After correcting for zero offset, the transmitter is returned to service
by simply redialing the handle to the NORMAL position,
which again, correctly sequences back to the service mode by closing the
equalizer first then reopening the blocked inlet.
